e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) celebrates 5th anniversary with 1000 member at BGB Banquet Hall in the capital .
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the 5th anniversary of the club shows it has made significant progress and will continue to grow.E-commerce in any country needs 4 things to grow : -
1.Ensuring internet connectivity
2.Digital payment gateway
3.Logistics and
4.trust.
Interoperability will automatically increase user numbers manifold, he said speaking in the event adding that payment through e-commerce will be easier and help grow online shopping.

Shomi Kaiser President of e-CAB said the journey of the growing business was not so easy and challenges needs to be addressed.
She referred to the lack of structured research database for e-commerce sector in the country and urged the government authorities to take positive initiative in this regard.

It is changing consumers' behavior to make buying comfortable in market place. The event ended in festive celebration of e-commerce owners, users and other stakeholders cutting cake and exchanging greetings.
e-CAB organizers decided on the occasion to undertake different activities including research, publication, training, workshop, seminars, etc. for the improvement of e-commerce and popularize its use at all levels.
